Frozen seawater and menstrual blood
interventions series in Barcelona.The ancient dichotomy "white moon / red moon" that categorized bodies according to whether they menstruated during the new moon or during the full moon was, gives rise to this series. Made from a spherical mold, five balls of seawater and five balls of menstrual blood convey a discourse that reflects on the many life cycles, human, animal, planetary, and understands their interrelation through water, which freezes, melts, flows through animal, plant bodies, rivers and seas, bodies of water inevitably united and impossibly isolated from each other. The series comprises two simultaneous movements as an exercise in undoing the human/nature dichotomy: the return of menstrual blood to non-urban spaces, and the return of seawater to urban spaces.
